Electronic Engineering Tools

To put together the electronics project and ensure that it performs well, it is a suitable beginning that assists one in the training of how to troubleshoot and at the same time be able to know how to use electronic tools effectively, along with component color codes, test equipments and electronic schematics. Electronic construction cannot be perfected without the application of electronic engineering tools and how to se them properly. Here are some of the electronic tools:

  1. SOLDERING IRON: This is applicable for soldering through hole components. Soldering is based on the components size. 20 watt to 30 watt soldering iron that has 1 by 8 inches to 1 by 2 inches tips are good for hole component. To give proper maintenance to soldering iron to make it initially longer, ensure that the tips are cleaned and well tinned.
  2. ELECTRIC DRILL AND DRILL BITS: Those ones that range from 1 by 8 inches and 1 by 2 inches are in handy form at any time that you want to use it to drill holes on the printed circuit board. It is essential to apply it to drill plastic or metal package that covers the printed circuit board. It can be purchased from any electronic store.
  3. WIRE STRIPEPR: This is used to undress the wire insulator from the conductors prior its connection to other wires or soldering to printed circuit board. Some of these wire strippers do come with measurement to show how long that will be required to be undressed.
  4. LONG NOSE PLIER: This tool has handle that you can use to hold firm the sections with short leads which require soldering to the PCB which could be too hot for your bare hands, the 4 inches long nose pliers will do it well for you. It is also used to hold the section that requires soldering from board.
  5. SIDE SUTTING PLIER: This is used for wire cutting into small length prior the usage. 4 inches side cutting pliers will give you perfect job. It is also used for trimming leads sector on the printed circuit board that is in excess.
  6. TWEEZERS: Ii is used to hold small sections during the soldering and de-soldering of certain surface section.
  7. ALLEN WRENCH SET: This set is used for screw and unscrew.
  8. PHILIP HEAD SCREW DRIVERS: These are of various types because most of the electronics projects utilize Philips screw drivers.
  9. FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVERS: These too are of different sizes and many useful screws are of flat head.
  10. HAMMER: It is used to put together project that required casing and a small and light hammer will work best.
  11. SOCKET WRENCH SETS: This contains hex drivers, nut drivers, starters of various sizes and all are in handy when the electronic projects are assembled.
  12. POCKET KNIFE: It is used to cut PCB, wires and to displace copper from the printed circuit board.

All the above listed electronic engineering tools are highly useful if and only if you want to do a neat and perfect job. Without all the above listed tools, the electronic projects will not be effective.
